Dispatch/Call Centre Operator

What you will be doing,


Answering incoming phone calls and directing calls or taking messages as needed.  Would require some basic customer service and if needed escalate calls to service technicians.


​Coordinating the response to alarms for customer's security/fire/medical/equipment alarms.  This involves following preset instructions and making phone calls to customers and emergency services as required for the situation.


​Handling incoming phone traffic after hours for call centre customers.  The operator follows the customers instructions for taking messages and/or sending messages or making calls depending on the priorities of the customer.


Regular data entry to keep customer data up to date as well as onboarding new customers.

​​Requirements

  • Ability to remain calm and coordinate calls in an emergency situation.

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently.

  • Work shifts, including nights, evenings, weekends and holidays.

  • Accurate data entry skills.

  • Computer use  - typing at 40 or more words per minute.

  • Previous multi line phone system  experience an asset.

  • Clear phone voice with good communication skills.

  • Must pass a police security check.

  • Ability to be an effective team member.
